Introduction to the GNU Grand Unified Bootloader

This introduction is intended as a quick-start and "cheat-sheet" for the Grand Unified Bootloader program from www.gnu.org. It is a down and dirty crash course on GRUB's basic usage, and what one must do in order to install GRUB for a multi-boot (Win, Linux) configuration on your HD's MBR.

Prerequisites: if you didn't understand one or more terms or acronyms in the preceding paragraph, you've failed this document's prerequisites. Please look for a more complete informational document, such as the info pages packaged with the GRUB tarball.

Note: This document was written 29Aug01. Keep this in mind, as software can change quite a bit over the course of time!
